When Do Tokyo Marathon 2027 Lottery Results Come Out?

Tokyo Marathon 2027 General Entry lottery results come out on Friday, September 18, 2026. The Tokyo Marathon Foundation announces selection results through My Entry, the account portal every applicant creates when entering, and selected runners must complete payment between 11:00 a.m. JST on September 18 and 5:00 p.m. JST on September 30, 2026. The race is Sunday, March 7, 2027.

How will you be notified?

Through My Entry, the Foundation's entry portal. The selection result is announced in the account you used to apply, so the reliable move on September 18 is logging in rather than waiting on an inbox. Overseas applicants have lost places before by treating a missed email as a rejection.

What happens if you are selected?

You pay, and you pay on time. The payment window runs from 11:00 a.m. JST on September 18 to 5:00 p.m. JST on September 30, 2026. The entry fee is JPY 19,800 for runners based in Japan and USD 230 for overseas runners, charged only after selection. If payment is not received by the deadline the entry is void, which is the single most avoidable way to lose a Tokyo bib.

What are the chances of a yes?

The Foundation publishes a general acceptance rate of roughly 10%. The last edition with raw published numbers, 2019, drew 330,271 applications for 27,370 ballot places, an 8.3% rate. When do the member and semi-elite results come out?

Earlier. The ONE TOKYO GLOBAL member draw and the Semi-Elite RUN as ONE route both closed on August 13, 2026, with results announced September 1, 2026. A member who gets a no on September 1 and also entered the general lottery still has the September 18 draw ahead of them. What if you miss?

Roughly 9 in 10 applicants will. The charity window for 2027 closed in July, so a no on September 18 means looking at other races and at next year's Tokyo calendar.
