When Do Tokyo Marathon 2027 Lottery Results Come Out?

Tokyo Marathon 2027 General Entry lottery results will be released on Friday, September 18, 2026. The General Entry application period opened on August 14, 2026, and closed on August 28, 2026. General Entry places are allocated by lottery.

On September 11, 2026, the Tokyo Marathon Foundation published official procedural instructions for the September 18 draw, advising runners on how to access their results, how to handle high website traffic, which authorized email sender domains to monitor, and which selected participants must submit verification documentation. For runners selected in the drawing, the official Entry Fee Payment period runs from 11:00 a.m. JST on Friday, September 18, 2026, until 5:00 p.m. JST on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The race takes place on Sunday, March 7, 2027.

How will you check your selection status on September 18?

The Tokyo Marathon Foundation specifies that selection results will be announced through My Entry on Friday, September 18, 2026. My Entry is the official online runner portal used during registration.

Who must submit a race result certificate?

The Foundation highlighted a specific verification rule for faster runners selected in the General Entry draw. For applicants who are selected and entered an estimated finish time of 3:00:00 or faster at the time of entry, submission of a race result certificate will be required. Eligible participants will be contacted separately with further instructions.

Under official event guidelines, if an applicant required to submit a certificate fails to provide proof of performance, or if the submitted record cannot be verified, the runner is assigned to the rear start block. Runners who entered an estimated time of 3:00:00 or faster should keep their official finisher records on hand to complete verification when contacted.

For applicants selected in General Entry, the schedule published by the Tokyo Marathon Foundation outlines the following payment window:
